NSHS is home to two accredited schools that together cover the full breadth of primary and allied health sciences training in Uganda.
Trains compassionate, competent nurses and midwives at certificate and diploma level with a strong emphasis on clinical and community health practice.
Develops skilled health professionals across clinical medicine, pharmacy, laboratory science, public health and food & nutrition disciplines.

A foundational nursing programme covering clinical nursing practice, patient care, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and community health. Graduates are registered with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council.
A comprehensive midwifery programme training students in maternal-child health, safe delivery practices, neonatal care, family planning, and community midwifery services across Uganda's health system.
A rigorous clinical medicine programme producing competent clinical officers skilled in diagnosis, treatment, and community health. 70% practical training across affiliated referral hospitals.
An advanced pharmacy programme covering pharmaceutical sciences, clinical pharmacy, drug management, regulatory affairs, and hospital pharmacy practice under the Uganda Pharmacy Board.
All programmes are fully recognised by the Ministry of Education & Sports (MOES), UHPAB, TVET and NCHE.
70% of training is hands-on practical in skills labs and real clinical settings — preparing students for immediate deployment.
Students access 5+ health facilities for clinical practicum including Nebbi General Hospital and community health centres.
Selected diploma programmes run on a weekend schedule, enabling working health professionals to further their qualifications.
